Spend a morning exploring the botanical treasures of Marrakech. Visit the famous Majorelle Gardens, surround yourself with the orchards and olive groves of Menara Garden.
Your first stop will be the Majorelle Garden. Designed by expatriate French artist Jacques Majorelle, the gardens were somewhat neglected after the painter's death. Now restored to its former glory by Yves Saint-Laurent, these botanic gardens are now a haven of peace in city of chaos.
Continue your tour with a visit of the Menara Garden and basin at the entrance to the Atlas Mountains. A summer residence of sultan Abderrahmane, the area is surrounded by orchards and olive groves. Before returning to your hotel in Marrakech, you will make a tours of the anciant rampart of marrakesh.
The ramparts dominate Marrakech with their characteristic red stone walls and superb gates. Over 6 miles long, the city ramparts are among Marrakech´s main attractions. Well-preserved with a height ranging from approximately 25 to 32 feet, ten gates pierce the wall as entry points. The most well-known of these gates is Bab Khemis. Several gates have also been models for other Moroccan cities.

Visit Medersa ben Youssef, a former Islamic college named after the sultan Ali ibn Yusuf who was influential in the expansion of the city. Once one of the largest theological colleges in North Africa housing as many as 900 students, the building has been refurbished and reopened to the public as a historical site.
